MEET MICHELLE
With a degree in Health Science, Michelle has spent more than 15 years working across the health and wellbeing industry, with a career spanning cancer research, clinical nutrition and corporate wellbeing. Her experience has given her a broad perspective on health and a strong appreciation for the connection between physical health, mental wellbeing and everyday movement.
Michelle discovered Pilates around 10 years ago and quickly developed an appreciation for the way the method combines strength, mobility, control and mindful movement. What began as a personal practice grew into a deeper interest in human movement and the mind-body connection at the heart of Pilates.
After years of developing her own practice and relocating from Sydney to the Central Coast, Michelle completed formal Pilates teacher training and went on to establish her studio in Booker Bay.
With a Diploma in Pilates, Michelle takes a personalised and considered approach to teaching. She believes that no two bodies move in exactly the same way, and that Pilates should be adapted to suit the individual, whether the goal is to build strength, improve mobility, support better movement or simply feel more comfortable and confident in your body.
Her aim is to create sessions that are purposeful, challenging and enjoyable, while helping each client develop a stronger understanding of their own body and movement.
“Physical fitness is the first requisite of happiness.” Joseph Pilates
